Arte Povera & Indian Ink
Arte-Povera Installation
RESOWI Centre, Universitätsstrasse 15, Sector D
Greek artist Jannis Kounellis is one of the most important representatives of Arte Povera. As a consequence, he uses materials such as steel, gunnysacks, manila ropes, rough timber beams and coal. Consisting of four components, the installation he created for the RE SOWI Centre characterises the university as “a place of preserved knowledge”. The materials he employed - wood, stone, iron and coal - stand for evolution, dialectic and the cultural history of mankind.

RESOWI Centre, Universitätsstrasse 15, Sector A/E and Library
With his typical choice of materials and stylistic elements, using Indian ink on concrete, Austrian artist Franz Graf printed his font and text images as well as his graphic designs on various surfaces around the faculty library.
